Lismullin Cookery School offers a comprehensive Cookery & Life Skills Programme designed specifically for Transition Year (TY) students. This hands-on experience not only enhances practical cooking abilities but also fosters personal confidence, teamwork, and essential life skills that are transferable to many aspects of daily life.
Students will have the opportunity to plan, prepare, and cook their own meals while learning about the fundamentals of nutrition, meal presentation, and table etiquette. Additionally, this programme introduces students to career possibilities within the food industry, offering an engaging and educational insight into the world of professional cookery.
Programme Overview
✔ Hands-on Culinary Training – Students receive professional demonstrations before preparing their own dishes.
✔ Theme-Based Menus – Schools can select from a range of culinary themes, including:
Italian Cuisine
French Cuisine
Spanish Tapas
Pastry & Baking
Traditional Irish Cooking
✔ Meal Preparation & Etiquette – Lessons in food presentation, table setting, and dining etiquette.
✔ Take-Home Recipe Booklets – Students receive copies of all recipes covered during the class.
Class Fee
€12 per student per hour (minimum 10 students per session)
